Forton Nursery, established in 1972, is sited at the Parish Hall in the village of Forton. Forton is situated east of the market town Newport Shropshire. The Nursery is surrounded by farmland in a beautiful rural setting yet located just 2 minutes from the A41, with easy access to both Telford , Wolverhampton and Staffordshire.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
At Forton Nursery we aim to provide the best of care in a safe, secure, relaxed but  creative and eduactional environment. Every child is respected and encouraged to develop socially, physically, emotionally, culturally and to gain knowledge through a range of experiences which will nurture, promote confidence and independance.
ABOUT US
The Hall dates from 1834 and was originally the Village Schoolhouse. (The old boys and girls entrances still visable today). When the school closed the parish took over the keep of the buiding and the Nursery opened its doors at this site for the first time in 1972.

The Main Hall has zoned areas for Science, Nature, Maths, Mark Making, separate areas for Contruction, Creative, Messy Play and Imaginative Role Play. There is also a room for Reading and Quiet Time.

The building is surrounded by a safe, large outdoor area of paviour and grass. There is a beautiful Sensory Garden area and a Garden area for growing Fruits & Vegetables.

Opening Times are from 8.00am until 6.00pm Monday to Friday (Term Time). The Nursery operates a Summer School for three weeks in August.  Proven to be very popular the Summer School has limited places available so early booking is advisable. Please contact us for further information.

''We are very proud of our team who do a wonderful job''.

In our last Ofsted inspection Forton Nursery was judged to be 'Outstanding' in all areas.

'Teaching is inspirational and has a very positive affect on children's learning as staff use a superb range of methods to help children engage with challenging activities. Consequently, children make significant progress from their starting points and are very well prepared for school'. OFSTED May 2014
